Hidaway Creek
Ukiah, Oregon

Price:
$380,000.00 cash or terms acceptable to the seller
Location:
This parcel is located 10 miles ESE of Ukiah, Oregon and
approximately 60 miles South of Pendleton, Oregon.
Acreage:
The property consists of about 158 acres bordered on three sides by
forest Service and BLM lands.
Description:
This is a nice parcel of mountain recreational land that has open
meadows and forested areas. The bulk of the merchantable timber was
harvested in 1994 due to an infestation of tree destroying insects.
There is, however, a good residual stand of trees that maintain the
integrity of the property. Hunting is good in the area and on this
parcel for grouse, deer and elk. Hidaway Creek traverses the
property and carries a population of native trout. Salmon and
Steelhead both spawn in this small stream, however, fishing for
these species is not allowed on this portion of the drainage.
Access:
This property is accessed via stage highway, forest and country
roads. These roads are kept open about 9 months out of the year.
Winter access would be by snow machine most years.
Other:
Oregon zoning laws prohibit erecting new structures on parcels of
this size unless a pre-existing structure is incorporated into such
construction. There is a pre-existing structure on this property. A
prospective buyer through the Umatilla County Planning Dept. should
seek verification of buildability if they intend to build on this
parcel.
Taxes:
Property taxes for the 96-97-tax year were $230.92.
